Job summary

Genuine Search Group in the United States—Alvarado location—seeks an experienced construction estimator to support large-scale civil projects. The role emphasizes heavy civil, underground utilities, earthwork and infrastructure scopes, with focus on accurate quantity takeoffs and detailed bid preparation.

You'll work with the estimating team on bid strategy, pricing and subcontractor acquisition for utilities, mass excavation and related civil works.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of construction estimating experience and strong heavy civil background.
• Ability to read civil plans, drawings and specifications with attention to detail.
• Experience with quantity takeoffs, bid reviews, and subcontractor solicitation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the estimating team on bid strategy, quantity takeoffs and pricing.
• Lead subcontractor engagement and supplier solicitation for bids.
• Verify scope and review bids to ensure accuracy and completeness.

This is a strong opportunity for someone with experience estimating heavy civil, underground utility, earthwork, concrete, water/wastewater, or infrastructure projects. The actual role is based in Alvarado and supports estimating across large-diameter utilities, wastewater, mass excavation and other major civil infrastructure work.
