Job summary

Okland Construction is seeking experienced estimators to join our Preconstruction team in Tempe, AZ. Projects span healthcare, industrial, semiconductor, and general commercial sectors, with opportunities aligned to your background.

You will develop estimates from concept through final pricing, perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis, review drawings for scope gaps, and solicit bids from subcontractors. You’ll present drivers to stakeholders and support budgeting and handoff.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction estimating experience; senior opportunities require additional experience.
• Able to read construction drawings and specifications and perform quantity takeoffs.
• Experience with subcontractor pricing, bid analysis, and cost estimating.
• Understanding of construction methods, materials, sequencing, and project costs.
• Experience with conceptual/preconstruction and/or hard-bid estimating.
• Proficient with Excel and construction estimating software; MC2 preferred.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual, schematic, DD, GMP, and bid estimates.
• Perform quantity takeoffs, pricing, cost analysis, and estimate reconciliation.
• Review drawings/specifications for scope gaps, conflicts, and cost impacts.
• Solicit, analyze, and level subcontractor and vendor bids.
• Develop general conditions, escalation, insurance, bonds, permits, and other project costs.
• Support value engineering, constructability reviews, and procurement strategy.
• Present estimates, assumptions, and cost drivers to internal and external stakeholders.
• Partner with project teams through budgeting, bidding, and project handoff.
• Maintain accurate historical cost data and estimating documentation.

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

Okland is looking for experienced Estimators and Senior Estimators to join our Preconstruction team. Opportunities may align with general construction, healthcare, electrical, industrial, semiconductor, or mission-critical projects, depending on your experience.

You’ll help develop projects from concept through final pricing while partnering with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and project teams.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY
