Job summary

Nox Group is seeking an Associate Estimator to join our preconstruction team and deliver accurate cost estimates for industrial projects across the US. You will review plans, perform takeoffs, and support bid packages under the guidance of senior estimators.

The role emphasizes analytical rigor, collaboration with project stakeholders, and continuous improvement of estimating processes in a safety‑sensitive environment. Experience with Accubid, Bluebeam, Excel is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in construction estimating with a proven track record.
• Experience in industrial projects is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates, review plans, specifications, and documentation to determine time, cost, materials, and labor with guidance from management.

Responsibilities

Preparation of Estimates:

• Develop and fundamental understanding of layout plans, process and procedures and construction environments.
• Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates with direct guidance from management staff.
• Provide ancillary support to preconstruction effort such as document control, correspondence internal/external, material research etc.

Cost Analysis:

• Conduct quantity take-offs and build a foundational understanding systems takeoff with oversight from management personnel.
• Training and understanding of cost model processes, outreach and validation

Collaboration and Coordination:

• Collaborate with preconstruction, operational and opportunity stakeholders.

Bid Management:

• Assist in preparation and submit comprehensive bid packages in a timely and accurate manner.

Continuous Improvement:

• Engage in training, site walks and all opportunities and tasks assigned by Chief Estimators.
• Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in cost estimating and construction methods.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the estimating process.

Qualifications

Experience:

• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in construction estimating, with a proven track record of successful project estimates.
• Experience in industrial projects is highly desirable.

Skills:

• Proficient in estimating software (\"e.g., Accubid, Bluebeam, Excel, Word, Sage Estimating\").
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
