Job summary

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of flooring or construction estimating, with proficiency in reading blueprints, estimating software, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of flooring or construction estimating experience preferred.
• Experience with commercial flooring, installation, or project management strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to interpret project requirements and clarify key details with stakeholders.
• Flexibility to work extended hours as needed to meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

Estimator - Flooring Summary

The Estimator will support the Project Management and Sales teams by preparing accurate takeoffs and cost estimates for commercial flooring projects. This role is responsible for gathering project information, developing detailed estimates for materials and labor, and ensuring accuracy throughout the quoting process.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and verify installation drawings for accuracy and completeness
• Request and collect project documentation from clients, general contractors, and architectural partners
• Prepare detailed takeoffs and estimating "keys" using estimating software
• Track estimating time per project for budgeting, quoting, and billing purposes
• Collaborate with Sales and Project Management teams to ensure project alignment
• Provide technical support during the estimating and pre-construction phases
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
• Support overall team goals related to efficiency, accuracy, and client satisfaction
• Perform additional duties as needed
