Job summary

Willmeng Construction is seeking an Estimator to support pre-construction and business development efforts. You will review plans, perform quantity take-offs, and price bids for construction projects in alignment with Willmeng’s quality standards and client satisfaction.

You will create budgets, collaborate with architects and owners to refine them, present budgets to clients, and explain changes after engineering reviews while managing multiple bids under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Strong independent work ethic and ability to work without support staff.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to read audiences and deliver messages effectively.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project).
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and other BIM software.
• Comprehensive understanding of construction costs and principles.
• Experience with OnScreen Take-off, Excel macros, and other estimating software.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and execute under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects, owners, and operations teams to refine budgets throughout the design process.
• Present budgets to clients professionally and facilitate discussions when alignment issues arise.

• Manage multiple bids simultaneously with tight deadlines.

The Role

The Estimator will support and work with pre-construction/business development staff in the review of project plans, requirements and specifications. The Estimator shall perform quantity take-offs, pricing, and bidding of construction projects and have knowledge of construction costs and principles while adhering to Willmeng’s quality standards and client satisfaction.
