Job summary

MKH Search is seeking a candidate for a Preconstruction/Estimating role in the Philadelphia area. The position supports bids on commercial, mixed-use, retail, and industrial projects ranging from $5M to $100M.

You’ll begin by assisting on live bids and will be mentored by an experienced Preconstruction/Estimating Executive as you grow into a senior estimating role. This opportunity is open to both estimators and PMs looking to transition into preconstruction, with exposure to diverse project

Qualifications

• Some estimating experience with a commercial GC or PM experience and genuine interest in moving into precon
• Ability to support the estimating team across conceptual through hard-bid stages
• Familiarity with commercial, mixed-use, retail, or industrial work and construction costs

Responsibilities

• Support the estimating team across conceptual through hard-bid stages
• Run quantity takeoffs and help develop accurate, well-documented budgets
• Solicit, level, and analyze subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Contribute value engineering and constructability input during design
• Work closely with the Precon/Estimating Executive, clients, architects, and project teams

Salary - $100K–$145K

Location - Philly Metro

Join an established preconstruction team in Philadelphia, supporting bids on commercial, mixed-use, retail, and industrial projects from $5M to $100M.

You'll start by assisting the team on live bids, learning the companies process, our markets, and our clients. The role reports into a Preconstruction / Estimating Executive and working alongside an experienced estimating team. As you build confidence and take on more ownership, this role is designed to develop into a senior estimating position when you're ready.

This oppertunty is open to both estimators and to PMs looking to make a career switch.

What you\'ll do

• Support the estimating team across conceptual through hard-bid stages
• Run quantity takeoffs and help develop accurate, well-documented budgets
• Solicit, level, and analyze subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Contribute value engineering and constructability input during design
• Work closely with the Precon/Estimating Executive, clients, architects, and project teams

What you\'ll bring
