Job summary

6AM City, LLC in Michigan is seeking a Construction Estimator to collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and vendors on siding projects, and to estimate plan work for J&S Siding. The role involves using Builder Trend for bids and Plan-Swift takeoffs to ensure cost-effective, high-quality outcomes.

You will create and adjust project takeoffs, modify plans for accurate estimates, and provide technical support on estimating software.

Qualifications

• Experience collaborating to execute projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong computer OS and software handling skills.
• Highly organized with attention to detail for cost control.
• Excellent interpersonal communication for teamwork.
• Ability to multitask under pressure and meet strict timelines.
• Knowledge of home construction concepts.
• 2+ years estimating in construction environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Estimate material quantities for siding projects.
• Create and continually improve project takeoffs in Plan-Swift.

• Provide technical support for Plan-Swift and related issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This position works with several parts of our company from clients and subcontractors to suppliers and vendors. Estimating plan work for J&S Siding. This position will allow you to help customers while maintaining cost and quality at every step.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Represent our company products and services being able to identify how our solutions meet the needs of our clients.
• Solicitation of bids / Quotes through Builder-Trend
• Estimate material quantities for J&S Siding Projects
• Responsible for creating, maintaining, and continually improving project takeoffs in Plan-Swift estimating software.
• Responsible for modification of existing plans for estimating.
• Responsible for being technical support regarding issues with Plan-Swift. This also includes non-estimating issues as needed.
• Any other duties as assigned

SKILLS

• Ability and desire to work collaboratively and ensure successful project execution
• High level of experience with computer operating systems.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with a passion for ensuring projects proceed efficiently and effectively
