Job summary

Clark Construction is seeking a Construction Estimator to own preconstruction lifecycles, perform cost modeling, hard bids, and design-build proposals for high-profile regional projects.

You will build scopes, lead trade leveling, and collaborate with trade partners, PMs and superintendents to hand off winning bids. Proficiency with DESTINI Estimator, Building Connected, Togal.AI, Bluebeam, AGTEK Earthwork is required.

Qualifications

  • 2–5+ years of dedicated estimating experience.
  • Experience estimating $50M+ projects across sectors.
  • Proficiency with Beck DESTINI Estimator, Building Connected, Togal.AI, Bluebeam, AGTEK Earthwork.
  • Assoc degree in Construction Management, Civil/Structural Eng, Architecture, or related field.
  • Ability to pass federal background screenings.
  • Align with Clark Standards of Excellence.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking a highly analytical and driven Construction Estimator to take ownership of complex preconstruction lifecycles. In this role, you will perform cost modeling, hard bids, and design-build proposals for high-profile regional projects. You will collaborate directly with trade partners to deliver precise, competitive, and value-engineered estimates that ensure project success from day one.Responsibilities ● Build comprehensive scopes of work, lead trade leveling sessions, and ensure total coverage on bid days. ● Identify creative, cost-effective design alternatives that align with architectural intent and local code restrictions. ● Partner closely with Clark Project Managers and Superintendents to transition winning bids seamlessly into the operations phase.Basic Qualifications ● 2 to 5+ years of dedicated estimating experience. ● Experience estimating large-scale projects ($50M+) across diverse sectors like multi-family residential, healthcare, higher education, or federal infrastructure. ● Mastery of modern digital construction workflows, specifically Beck DESTINI Estimator, Building Connected, Togal.AI, Bluebeam, and AGTEK Earthwork. ● Associate’s degree in Construction Management, Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical discipline. ● Capability to pass standard federal background screenings to access local government, secure agency, and institutional project sites. ● Alignment to Clark Standards of Excellence: Self-Motivated, Results Oriented, Adaptable, Team Player, Accountable, Ethical, Innovative, Resilient, Builds Relationships, Builds People / Teams & Followership, Sets Direction & ExecutesThe Physical Side of the Role: Given that a good portion of your day will be spent at a desk, you should be comfortable with prolonged periods of focused work, whether it's collaborating with colleagues, analyzing data, or developing strategies. The role demands effective communication and sharp visual acuity for reviewing complex documents and performing detailed computer work. While there are times for quiet concentration, you'll also be expected to move actively throughout the office and travel occasionally to various locations, including dynamic construction sites, utilizing different modes of transportation. The ability to lift and move objects up to 10 pounds regularly, and up to 25 pounds on occasion (think a box of files or small office equipment), is also required.Your Work Environment: Your primary workspace will be in our professional office, which has a typical, quiet-to-moderate noise and light levels. As part of your work, you may also be required to visit active construction sites. These environments are naturally more dynamic and can include exposure to outdoor weather conditions, louder noise, and moving equipment. Additional benefits include life insurance, commuter benefit, short & long term disability, fitness reimbursement, FSA, tuition reimbursement, back-up daycare, tutoring & family support benefits, EAP/Work-Life assistance, and a holiday contribution program. For this role the base salary range is $45,000-$140,000. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
