Job summary

Glass Company in Salem, MA is seeking an Estimator to prepare bids and shape glazing projects from concept through award. You will work closely with general contractors, architects, owners, suppliers, and internal teams to develop practical, cost-effective glazing solutions that help win projects and ensure successful construction.

This full-time onsite role requires at least three years of commercial glazing estimating experience, strong drawing interpretation, and proficiency with Word, Excel,

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of commercial glass and glazing estimating experience.
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand architectural drawings and contract documents.
• Strong knowledge of commercial glazing systems including curtainwall, storefronts, entrances, windows, architectural panels, skylights, brake metal, specialty glazing systems, and interior glass systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, PlanGrid, MS Project, and commercial estimating software is highly desirable.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously while consistently meeting estimating deadlines.
• Customer-focused mindset with excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.

Position Summary:

As an Estimator at Glass Company, you will do far more than prepare bids- you will help shape projects before construction begins.

Working closely with general contractors, architects, owners, suppliers, and our internal engineering and operations teams, you will develop practical, cost-effective glazing solutions that help our customers win projects and successfully build them.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex construction challenges, balancing technical detail with practical field experience, and building lasting customer relationships. Our estimators are trusted advisors who influence projects from concept through award- not simply individuals who prepare pricing.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of three (3) years of commercial glass and glazing estimating experience.
• Strong working knowledge of commercial glazing systems, including curtainwall, storefronts, entrances, windows, architectural panels, skylights, brake metal, specialty glazing systems, and interior tenant fit-up work.
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand architectural drawings, specifications, and contract documents.Understanding of glazing system constructability, fabrication methods, installation practices, and labor planning.
• Strong knowledge of commercial glazing systems including curtainwall, storefront, entrances, windows, architectural panels, skylights, brake metal, specialty glazing systems, and interior glass systems.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously while consistently meeting estimating deadlines.
• Customer-focused mindset with excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, PlanGrid, MS Project, and commercial estimating software is highly desirable.

• Base salary: $85,000 to $115,000 depending on qualifications and experience, plus semiannual performance bonus.
