The role involves reviewing plans, preparing detailed estimates, and collaborating with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to align budgets with client expectations and profitability. You will manage cost databases, stay current with market prices, and support bid submissions while identifying cost-saving

Qualifications

• Experience as an Estimator in the construction or related industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and related documents to understand project requirements.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to gather necessary information and clarify project details.
• Maintain and update cost databases and estimation software to reflect current market prices and trends.
• Present and explain estimates to clients and internal stakeholders, addressing any questions or concerns.
• Identify potential risks and opportunities in project costs and suggest cost-saving measures.

About the Role:

The Estimator plays a critical role in the successful planning and execution of construction and project management activities by accurately forecasting the costs associated with materials, labor, and time. This position requires a detailed analysis of project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive and competitive cost estimates. The Estimator collaborates closely with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to ensure all aspects of the project are considered and that estimates align with budgetary constraints and client expectations. By providing precise and timely estimates, the Estimator helps the organization make informed decisions, secure contracts, and maintain profitability. Ultimately, this role ensures that projects are financially viable and executed within the projected budget and timeline.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience as an Estimator in the construction or related industry
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
