Job summary

Servpro Industries, Inc. in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Project Estimator to manage bids and price construction and restoration projects.

You will create estimates, sketches, and scopes of work, and coordinate timelines and budgets to maximize profitability while delivering high-quality service to customers. The role requires experience with estimating software (Xactimate or similar), strong communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, emergency-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience with Xactimate software or similar estimating software.
• Expertise in creating complete and accurate estimates.
• Selling and securing restoration projects.
• Excellent customer service and verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, emergency-driven environment.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and technical skills.
• Team and goal oriented.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain positive customer relationships for construction services.
• Identify, qualify, and secure opportunities to obtain and price projects.
• Educate customers on relevant processes, determine project requirements and obtain customer and client agreements.
• Create and deliver accurate sketches and initial scopes of work for all project types.
• Assemble and deliver project schedule and timeline, scope of work and estimates.
• Deliver timely, consistent, and well-defined estimates that consider all cost factors and ensure projects are estimated for maximum profitability within set budget.
• Review budgets and recognize project constraints and necessary modifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Project Estimator is responsible for managing a wide range of functions necessary to successfully obtain, bid, and price construction projects. This dynamic position involves job lead conversion, delivering consistent and complete estimates, and maintaining a high quality of service and correspondence in all dealings with customers, clients, and resource providers.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities
