Job summary

Allegiance Group in Indianapolis seeks an experienced Estimator to support preconstruction and bidding across healthcare, education, municipal, commercial, multifamily, hospitality and senior living projects.

You will prepare budgets, perform takeoffs, solicit subcontractors, review proposals, assist GMP, and help hand off estimates to operations. Local market knowledge and tool proficiency preferred.

Qualifications

• Estimating experience with a General Contractor.
• Experience preparing estimates for commercial construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications and trade scopes.
• Experience with subcontractor pricing, takeoffs and bid leveling.
• Experience across commercial, healthcare, education, multifamily or similar project types preferred.
• Ground-up and renovation experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam, BuildingConnected, Procore, On-Screen Takeoff or similar estimating software.
• Strong organizational, communication and analytical skills.
• Indianapolis market experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual budgets and detailed construction estimates.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop pricing across multiple trade scopes.
• Manage subcontractor solicitation and bid coverage.
• Review subcontractor proposals, identify scope gaps and complete bid leveling.

• Identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities.
• Review drawings and specifications for constructability and potential risk.
• Work closely with project managers, superintendents and preconstruction leadership.
• Maintain relationships with local subcontractors and vendors.
• Support project handoff from estimating into operations.

Job description

Our client, a well-established General Contractor in the Indianapolis market, is looking to add an experienced Estimator to their team.

This position will support projects through the estimating and preconstruction process, working on a diverse portfolio across healthcare, education, municipal, commercial, multifamily, hospitality and senior living.

Projects include a mix of ground-up construction, renovations and phased work throughout the Indianapolis market.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual budgets and detailed construction estimates
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop pricing across multiple trade scopes
• Manage subcontractor solicitation and bid coverage
• Review subcontractor proposals, identify scope gaps and complete bid leveling
