Job summary

Industrial Works in Green Bay, WI is seeking a full-time Estimator to develop accurate production estimates, determine builds, and source materials to fulfill customer requirements. The Estimator will work with Production Managers and Project Managers to meet both company and customer expectations.

The role requires interpreting 3-D models, reading complex drawings, and creating detailed routings and scope for production.

Qualifications

  • Experience creating accurate production estimates from drawings and models.
  • Ability to read complex blueprints and interpret 3-D designs.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and time-tracking in project environments.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and general manufacturing practices.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret 3-D models in Autodesk Inventor from conceptual sketches and drawings.
  • Decipher technical drawings and flat patterns for shop fabrication.
  • Annotate and verify numerical designations and specs in drawings.

Job description

Industrial Works is a Mid-Size Diversified Metals Fabrication Company located in Green Bay, WI that is experiencing growth. We are looking for a full-time Estimator. We distinguish ourselves in the marketplace by our proven advantage of Manufacturing Excellence, Project Management, On Time Delivery, and Superior Customer Service. The Estimator is responsible for providing estimates, determining build, sourcing materials and services and developing drawings for production to fulfill customer requirements. Estimators work closely with the Production Managers and/or Project Manager to ensure company and customer requirements are met.

Location:Green Bay, WI

Wage:Varies based on experience.

Shift:1st – 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Job Type: Full-Time

The essential job functions include:

  • Interpret 3-D models in Autodesk Inventor from conceptual sketches and drawings.
  • Decipher technical drawings and flat patterns for shop fabrication.
  • Annotate and verify all numerical designations and specifications in technical drawings.
  • Create accurate routings for production.
  • Interpret sheet metal, mechanical, and structural drawings from internal and external drawings.
  • Understand all processes of job from acquisition to fulfillment.
  • Determine best build practice using company strategies.
  • Submit RFQ’s for outsourced materials and services.
  • Prepare accurate estimates with clearly written scope.
  • Maintain files within the respective database.
  • Track and record time spent directly on customer projects, manage time dedicated to billable customer work, and ensure all chargeable hours for customer services are accurately logged in the ERP via the Data Collection App.
  • Willing to work overtime as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

This position is very active and requires a high level of motivation, dependability, reliability, and a willingness to learn new processes as they arise. Effective communication, both written and verbal are critical to this position. Able to work in a team environment and independently.

The Academic Competencies of this position will require:
