Your role includes cost management, vendor coordination, and light invoicing, with occasional visits to local job sites to ensure accuracy and project success. Strong Excel/Word skills and QuickBooks Online familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of construction estimating experience in residential or commercial construction.
• Evaluate project details, costs, and margins accurately to develop reliable estimates.
• Understand the essentials of the construction industry and be comfortable visiting active job sites.
• Work confidently in Microsoft Excel and Word; QuickBooks Online experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, detailed estimates for residential and commercial construction projects.
• Manage project job costs and monitor margins to keep projects financially on track.
• Coordinate pricing with established vendors and expand resources for complete, competitive estimates.
• Handle light invoicing and accounts receivable as part of day-to-day operations.
• Communicate clear job details, costs, and project information to employees, customers, and the owner.
• Provide field support for projects, including occasional visits to local job sites.
• Report monthly job status and project information to the owner, escalating urgent issues when needed.

What You'll Do as an Estimator

• Construction-Savvy: Understand the day-to-day essentials of the construction industry and be comfortable visiting and walking active job sites.
• Technically Capable: Work confidently in Microsoft Excel and Word; QuickBooks Online experience is a plus.
• Proactive: Respond promptly to employee and customer needs while keeping project information organized and moving forward.
