Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited is seeking an Estimator in Dayton, Ohio to own the estimating process for precision machining, composites, and tooling projects within an aerospace/defense manufacturing environment.

You will review RFQs, develop labour and material cost models, coordinate supplier quotations, and support programs from quotation through to production launch, with a focus on delivering accurate, competitive quotations and driving profitable growth.

Qualifications

• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, CAD models, GD&T, and manufacturing specifications.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with ERP/MRP system experience.
• Excellent commercial awareness and analytical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Review customer RFQs and develop labour and material cost models.

Are you an Estimator with a background in manufacturing looking to play a key role, while advancing your career with an industry-leading manufacturer?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing aerospace and defense business where you will take ownership of the estimating process for precision machining, composite structures, assemblies, and tooling projects, working on cutting-edge manufacturing programs for some of the industry's most demanding customers.

The company is an established manufacturer supporting aerospace and defense customers, with an impressive pipeline of prototype and production programs. They are seeking a driven Estimator to collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Program Management to develop accurate, competitive quotations while supporting profitable business growth.

In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing customer RFQs, analysing manufacturing methods, developing labour and material cost models, coordinating supplier quotations, evaluating production risks, and supporting programs from quotation through to production launch.

This position would suit an experienced Estimator looking for long-term progression, the opportunity to influence major aerospace and defense projects, and the chance to make a real impact within a collaborative manufacturing environment.

The Role:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for CNC machining, composite structures, assemblies, tooling, and prototype-to-production programs
• Develop labour, material, tooling, and outside processing cost estimates
• Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Program Management to deliver competitive proposals
• Support customer quote reviews, negotiations, and successful program launches
