Job summary

Lithko Contracting in Nashville is seeking an Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will assist the Estimating staff and Pre-Construction Lead with all aspects of estimating for commercial and industrial projects.

You will perform quantity take-offs, pricing, and bidding; coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure accurate, competitive bids. A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering is required; experience with structural concrete estimating is preferred.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering (required).
• Experience with structural concrete estimating.
• Experience with a Self-Perform General Contractor or Concrete Contractor is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sets up an estimate with alternates, general conditions, vendor/subcontractor pricing, and labor rates per bid strategy.
• Conducts a take-off and quantifies concrete scope items.
• Provides accurate project information during turnover and planning for execution.

Estimator Job Summary:

Lithko Contracting is seeking an Estimator to join our team in Nashville. The Estimator will assist the Estimating staff and Pre-Construction Lead with all aspects of estimating, including quantity take-off, pricing and bidding of commercial and industrial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sets up an estimate to include correct alternates, general conditions, inputting correct vendor and subcontractor pricing, correct labor production and wage rates in alignment with bid strategy.
• Conducts a take off by owning all items from take-off software through identifying and quantifying all necessary concrete scope items.
• Responsible for providing correct project information to the appropriate parties during the turnover and planning phases.
• Validates that accurate and detailed information was provided to the operations team to plan for execution.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Experience with structural concrete estimating preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Must have good organizational and communication skills.
• Experience in estimating for a Self-Perform General Contractor or Concrete Contractor is a plus.
• Experience with a variety of project types with emphasis on Commercial/Industrial preferred.
• General knowledge of construction principles/practices required with experience on projects over 1 million dollars.
• Knowledge of negotiated bids, and hard bids.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering required.
