Position Title: Estimator

Are you an experienced construction estimator looking for a long‑term career with a company that values craftsmanship, stability and mentorship? Join a respected commercial contractor specializing in natural stone fabrication and installation. This role offers the rare opportunity to train directly under a seasoned Senior Estimator before stepping into a leadership position.

The Estimator plays a crucial role in the construction industry, contributing to the successful execution of projects by providing accurate estimates and collaborating with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will engage with suppliers, architects, and clients, ensuring that all estimates reflect the highest standards of quality and precision. The role involves hands‑on experience, including site visits and the ability to climb scaffolding, which is essential for accurate assessments. This position is well‑suited for individuals seeking to grow their expertise in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 / Year DOE

Estimator Responsibilities

• Conduct construction takeoffs and assemble estimate packages
• Perform full‑cycle estimating for stone fabrication and installation projects
• Collaborate with the Senior Estimator to learn company‑specific methods and nuances
• Leverage draftsman support for takeoffs during peak workloads
• Engage with suppliers, architects, and clients through regular communication
• Visit stone yards to meet with suppliers and architects
• Deliver samples to architects as needed

Estimator Requirements

• Ideally 5+ years of experience in construction estimating
• Proficiency in Procore and BlueBeam software, with a willingness to learn more
• Ability to climb scaffolding up to 3 or 4 stories and comfort with heights
• Exposure to modern estimating tools and processes is preferred
• Membership or affiliation with estimating organizations is preferred
• Prior specialty subcontractor experience in stone fabrication or installation is preferred
• AutoCAD or Revit experience is a plus.
