Job summary

Taylor Promotional Products is seeking an Estimating Representative to join our team in the United States. This onsite role focuses on delivering accurate quotes and estimates, leveraging pricing programs, and collaborating with multiple departments to ensure fast, reliable pricing for customers.

Responsibilities include collecting data for quotations, calculating costs and gross profit, and maintaining knowledge of products, production times, and vendor capabilities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in estimating, quoting, or a related field.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Solid mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process quotes quickly and efficiently based on customer requests, sales, and marketing.
• Apply pricing programs using the costing model and sales tools.
• Collect information from distribution, kitting, fulfillment and shipping for quotations.
• Compute cost estimates from third parties for products, decor, subcontracted work and labor.
• Calculate gross profit percentages and add to cost estimates to determine selling prices.
• Understand product production times and vendor capabilities.
• Resolve questions and escalate complex issues to management.
• Build strong relationships with internal departments to ensure workflow harmony.
• Negotiate best solutions and pricing with vendors.
• Review customer inventory for replenishment; be familiar with international shipping rules.

Your Opportunity:

Taylor Promotional Products is looking for an Estimating Representative to join our team! In this position, you will be assisting our customers by giving accurate quotes and estimates on their orders.

Your Responsibilities

• Responsible for quick and efficient processing of quotes based on requests from customers, sales, and marketing.
• Applies pricing programs developed according to the product/sales strategy/and revenue recognition requirements using the costing model and sales tools.
• Collects information for proper quotations from other functions such as distribution, kitting, and fulfillment and shipping.
• Computes cost estimates from 3rd parties for products, decoration, subcontracted work, and labor.
• Computes gross profit percentages and adds to cost estimates to calculate selling prices.
• Knowledge and understanding of the products, production times and vendor capabilities is necessary.
• Resolves questions and problems and refers complex issues to management.
• Builds strong relationships with all internal departments such as distribution, implementation, customer service, and order entry to ensure workflows complement one another.
• Builds strong relationships with vendors to negotiate best solutions and pricing
• Responsible for customer inventory analysis and review for replenishment
• Familiar with international shipping rules, regulations and practices.

Your Shift

• 1st Shift; Monday – Friday, from 8:30a-5:00p
• This role will be fully onsite based at one of these locations:
• Dayton, OH
• Amsterdam, NY
• White Bear Lake, MN

You Must Have

• 2+ years of experience in estimating, quoting, or a related field
• Ability to display a solid mathematical aptitude and attention to detail
• Strong aptitude for Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication and organizational skills

We Would Also Prefer

• Post-secondary education or college degree and general clerical and administrative skills

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $21-$23. The actual wage offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation’s total compensation and benefits package for employees.
