Qualifications

• Lives in the Dallas/Plano area with commute to Plano office 4–5 days per week.
• Current student pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Strong interest in preconstruction, estimating, and construction project management.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Basic understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; exposure to estimating or take-off software is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with reviewing project documents to help define scope and support bid preparation.
• Help prepare and distribute Invitations to Bid (ITBs) to subcontractors via bidding platforms such as Building Connected.
• Support the team in drafting RFIs for clarification of project scope.
• Participate in subcontractor outreach through email and phone calls to solicit bids and confirm trade coverage.
• Assist in maintaining subcontractor bid solicitation lists and updating bid tracking tools.
• Perform basic quantity take-offs under guidance of senior estimators using on-screen take-off software.
• Research regional trade costs to support estimate development.
• Help collect, review, and organize subcontractor quotes for accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
• Support the preparation of estimate sheets and proposals, including inclusions, exclusions, and qualifications.
• Contribute to project documentation such as site visit notes, risk registers, and estimate logs.
• Participate in team meetings and gain exposure to the preconstruction and business development process.
