Job summary

Faith Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Estimator with leadership to join our estimating team in Kansas.

The role focuses on determining bid priorities, establishing schedules, and coordinating multiple estimates across regional projects to showcase the company's capabilities. You will mentor regional estimators, work with EVP, Directors, and Project Managers to develop bid strategies, integrate electrical and specialty systems estimates, and help drive our culture of care through

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 2 to 4 years of electrical estimating experience along with previous management experience.
  • 5 years of electrical estimating experience and previous management experience.
  • Travel up to 25%.
  • Work Schedule: 7 AM–5 PM, Monday to Friday; may work other times as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Determines bid priorities and selects bid projects with input from EVP, Group Managers, or Project Managers.
  • Establishes, maintains, and follows up on bid schedules to ensure timely and accurate estimates.
  • Works with EVP, Director of Estimating, Group Managers, and PMs to establish bid strategies for each branch.
  • Coordinates multiple estimates simultaneously and reviews large estimates.
  • Maintains CRM and historical cost data.
  • Mentors regional estimators and develops direct reports.
  • Monitors regional estimators' performance and upcoming regional projects.

Minimum Requirements
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Experience: 2 to 4 years of electrical estimating experience along with previous management experience
  • Experience: 5 years of electrical estimating experience and previous management experience
  • Travel: up to 25%
  • Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities
  • Determines bid priorities and selects potential bid projects by utilizing BidSmart, bid strategies of the particular region, and input of the Executive Vice President, Group Managers, or Project Managers.
  • Establishes, maintains, and follows up on bid schedules to ensure timely and accurate completion of estimates.
  • Works with Executive Vice President (EVP), Director of Estimating, Group Managers, and Project Managers to establish bid strategies for each branch.
  • Coordinates multiple estimates simultaneously as well as has the review responsibility for multiple and/or large estimates.
  • Maintains CRM and historical cost data.
  • Participates in the overall development and implementation of Faith Technologies estimating standards and best practices.
  • Initiates job start up meetings and post-bid review meetings with Project Managers and other appropriate parties.
  • Integrates electrical and specialty systems estimates. Showcases the total capabilities of the organization by identifying and estimating other service offerings.
  • Provides ongoing mentoring and training of regional estimators. Develops and evaluates direct reports.
  • Monitors regional estimators performance as it relates to estimating performance metrics.
  • Monitors all upcoming regional projects available and assigns the appropriate branch and/or vertical subgroup to projects.
  • Works with Director of Estimating in scheduling of regional estimating resources.
  • Demonstrates the ability to plan for, complete, and implement assignments and responsibilities in a timely manner.

  • Develops relationships with leaders, direct reports, and/or others that facilitate open dialogue and trust.

Measures and monitors the work of individual direct reports and/or collective team/taskforce team(s). Coaches and motivates direct reports/appropriate individuals to effectively perform; removes barriers to success and provides feedback, necessary resources, and open communication.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
