Job summary

LF Driscoll, part of the STO Building Group, seeks an Estimating Manager in New York City to develop healthcare cost estimates in early development and support the team with up-to-date cost data through projects. This role leads and grows the estimators’ team and collaborates with project stakeholders.

The Estimating Manager will drive accuracy in budgeting, pricing history, and cost modeling while integrating with business development and marketing strategies to secure profitable healthcare

Qualifications

• BS in Construction Management or related field or equivalent.
• Minimum of 10 years of healthcare construction experience.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret business materials.
• Ability to write reports and professional communications.
• Ability to present information to groups of managers, clients and the public.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw conclusions.
• Proficient PC skills including email, databases, word processing, spreadsheets.
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate assignments.
• CMiC experience preferred.
• Knowledge of estimating software preferred.

LF Driscoll, part of the STO Building Group, is looking to identify an Estimating Manager in New York City, NY. The Estimating Manager will develop, create and prepare construction cost estimates for healthcare focused projects in the early stages of development and continue to support the project team with updated cost information throughout the projects. They will also help build and manage a team of Estimators.

Duties

• Ensures that “Constructing with Integrity” is delivered by working with honesty, unity, safety, and quality of work.
• Provide leadership for estimating and planning support personnel.
• Monitor project budgeting and buy-out processes to ensure reliable information is available for estimates.
• Facilitate communication of cost history to ensure on-going evaluation of pricing information for better cost modeling and estimating.
• Monitor planning support processes to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
• Interface with marketing to ensure consideration of all relevant information, issues, and brand name recognition.
• Assist in the evaluation, planning and execution of new scope of services and profit centers.
• Monitor productivity and cost control on healthcare projects.
• Attend project review meetings and facilitate solutions to budget problems as required.
• Plan and implement training for healthcare estimators.
• Identify and procure profitable projects by overseeing all business development activities, including customer relationships, networking, performing public relations activities, maintaining client database and executing the client matrices.
• Oversee all sales activities, including identifying and pre-qualifying leads, working on procurement strategies, developing proposals, responding to RFQ’s, SOQ’s and RFP’s.
• Establish goals, procedures, systems and tools used to accomplish estimating tasks.
• Commit the company in the project procurement process with respect to healthcare projects.
• This position supervises Estimating activities and personnel and therefore takes on the successes and failures of the team.
• Employee will work with the Business Unit Executives, Estimating and Planning Support Personnel, and clients.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction Management or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare construction required
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and/or the general public.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
• Prioritize, organize and delegate assignments.
• Experience with CMiC preferred.
• Knowledge of estimating software preferred.

Salary

$190,000-$240,000
