Job summary

Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. offers a 10-week Production Internship designed to provide hands-on support to Asphalt and Paving operations.

This developmental role covers asphalt production, paving construction, project estimation, quality control, safety, and operations management through structured learning, field exposure and project assignments. You will assist with estimating, bid preparation, production tracking, and coordination with operations leaders to gain practical industry

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management.

Responsibilities

• Assist estimating personnel with cost estimates for asphalt paving, grading, and roadway construction projects.
• Assist in gathering pricing information for materials, equipment, labor, trucking, and subcontracted services.
• Support maintenance of estimating databases and historical cost records.
• Participate in bid preparation activities and estimate review meetings.
• Gain exposure to asphalt plant operations, production planning, inventory management, and material handling.
• Assist field personnel with project documentation and production reporting.
