Job summary

American Transmission Company (ATC) is seeking an Estimating and Cost Engineering Intern to support project execution teams by tracking, analyzing, and reporting cost and performance metrics for ATC’s capital projects.

You will assist with cost estimating, tool updates, earned value management, and reporting on field change requests, while learning how infrastructure projects are scoped and delivered in the electric utility sector.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Business Management, Finance, Construction Management, Supply Chain or Engineering.
• Analytical, organized, and curious about how infrastructure projects are scoped, tracked and delivered.
• Interest in the electric utility industry and how critical infrastructure is built.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of project cost estimates for capital infrastructure
• Assist with estimating tool updates and implementation
• Assist with building and maintaining earned value management tools
• Track key indicators of project health and performance
• Help prepare and analyze reports on field change requests, scope, and cost metrics
• Contribute to continuous improvement of cost engineering processes
