Job description

ABOUT BUSINESS INFORMATION GROUP, INC (“BIG”)

Technology in construction is evolving faster than ever and managing it has become increasingly complex. From ERP systems and cybersecurity to infrastructure, analytics, cloud platforms, and operational workflows, the construction industry needs more than just a point solution. They need a partner that understands how the ecosystem works.

Since 1992, Business Information Group has helped organizations modernize technology, improve operational visibility, reduce risk, and create scalable foundations for growth. We work alongside our clients as an extension of their business, helping teams make smarter decisions, streamline operations, and find value from the systems they rely on every day.

Our mission? To serve as an extension of our clients’ business by delivering practical technology solutions that drive clarity, efficiency, and long-term business transformation. We believe technology should simplify operations, not complicate them. Our goal is to help clients connect systems, teams, and data in a way that supports confident growth and better business outcomes.

Job Summary

The Estimating & Contract Manager plays a key role in accelerating BIG’s SOW development and contract support process across multiple service lines. This role owns and coordinates the end-to-end SOW workflow, from initial client or internal request through requirements gathering, estimating, internal review, approvals, and final delivery to the client. Working closely with Sales, Client Success, delivery teams, and technical stakeholders, the position helps remove bottlenecks, drive timely completion of SOWs, and ensure scope, deliverables, assumptions, labor estimates, risks, and contractual terms are clear, accurate, and ready for client presentation. The role also supports consistent use of estimating tools, SOW templates, approved clauses, and internal signoff processes to improve efficiency, strengthen accountability, manage risk, and create a more consistent contracting experience for both clients and internal teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own and coordinate the end-to-end SOW workflow, from initial request through final client delivery, ensuring timely progress, stakeholder accountability, and efficient completion of required reviews and approvals.
  • Collaborate with sales team members and/or clients to gather requirements and develop a deeper understanding of services required and scope.
  • Support SOW and contract review discussions with clients, Sales, and internal stakeholders to clarify scope, terms, risks, and next steps.
  • Partner with cross-departmental teams, including Engineering, Security, Development, Consulting, Project Management, Operations, and Sales, to translate complex technical requirements into clear service deliverables, detailed scope and labor hours.
  • Analyze project requirements and scope to ensure estimates are realistic and based on industry standards.
  • Use standard estimating tools, SOW templates, and pre-approved clauses to draft SOWs with clear services, detailed deliverables, and defined assumptions.
  • Assess technical and operational risks, such as data security, system downtime liabilities, data validation, etc. as it aligns to the service offering.
  • Facilitate and coordinate client‑requested Master Service Agreement (“MSA”) and SOW changes, including redline review, internal discussion, escalation of items requiring leadership approval, and communication of approved responses back to the client.
  • Secure required internal signoffs before contract execution.
  • Maintain and organize executed SOWs and MSAs for active and historical contracts.
  • Maintain and update standard SOW templates and clause library.
  • Help define a structured estimating process that enforces consistent scoping and SOW delivery standards, with a focus on improved speed and efficiency.
  • Support delivery teams by clarifying SOW scope, deliverables, assumptions, and contractual requirements during project execution.
  • Build and maintain effective cross‑departmental relationships to support timely scoping, review, and contract execution.

Position Details, Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Standard office hours for this role are Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm local time zone.
  • This is a full‑time, exempt role.
  • This is a remote role with eligibility to work from approved states in the United States.
  • Travel for this role is minimal.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and use a computer and keyboard for long durations. Frequent typing and use of a mouse, with fine motor skills required for accurate data entry and navigation. Must be able to maintain good posture and adjust seating and workstation to minimize physical strain.

Education, Qualifications & Experience
