Douglas J Institutes & Salons is seeking an enthusiastic Esthiology Educator to teach and mentor our evening students as they prepare to enter the beauty industry. You don’t have to be a licensed educator to apply, as paid training and guidance help you meet state requirements to become a licensed instructor.

Qualifications

• Licensed Esthetician with hands-on skincare experience.
• Minimum 2 years of skincare industry experience.
• Available to work evenings and some weekends.
• Passion for skincare, beauty education, and professional development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to demonstrate techniques clearly; patient and supportive.
• Organized and dependable with time management.
• Experience or willingness to mentor students.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned esthiology classes under guidance of Education Coach and Program Team Lead.
• Educate students on skincare theory, treatments, techniques, products, and professional practices.
• Create an engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Demonstrate proper sanitation, safety, and infection-control practices.
• Monitor and reinforce student sanitation and safety standards.
• Evaluate student work and provide timely, meaningful feedback.
• Stay current on esthetics trends, skincare innovations, products, techniques, and industry standards.
• Maintain a professional classroom environment and model ethical standards.
• Manage classroom activities effectively while fostering a positive learning experience.
• Ensure students understand and follow school policies and state regulations.
• Provide constructive coaching and encouragement to develop skills and confidence.
• Serve as a positive role model and mentor for students starting their careers.

• Serve as a positive role model, mentor, and source of inspiration for students beginning their careers in esthetics.

Requirements

• Licensed Esthetician with hands-on industry experience
• At least 2 years of experience working in skincare
• Availability to work evenings and some weekends
• Passion for skincare, beauty, education, and professional development
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to demonstrate and explain techniques clearly
• Patient, encouraging, and supportive teaching style
• Organized and dependable with strong time-management skills
• Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
• Comfortable working with students of varying experience levels
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, professional school environment
• Previous teaching or training experience is a plus, but not required
• Experience working with Eminence, PCA, Sugarlash, Dulcelash, and/or Muse Beauty is a plus, but not required
