Job summary

Aveda Institute Chapel Hill is seeking an experienced Esthetics Instructor to educate future beauty and wellness leaders in a full-time capacity. This role spans classroom and clinic-floor teaching with a focus on student development and engagement.

Responsibilities include preparing industry-aligned lesson plans, upholding our standards, and guiding students toward high graduation and licensure outcomes. A valid Esthiology Instructor license and 2+ years of esthetics experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Esthiology Instructor license with ongoing CE hours.
• Minimum of 2 years’ continuous esthetics experience; training staff preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to lead, manage time effectively, and work under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills for high-touch salon/spa education.
• Provide ongoing recognition, support, and motivation for students.
• Prepare lesson plans reflecting current industry standards and approved materials.
• Actively engage students through demonstrations and interactive teaching.
• Coach students to meet service and retail goals; educate on products.
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and dress code policies.
