The Salon Technician is responsible for providing salon clientele with professional services related to the care and treatment of hair, nails, and skin. This position reports to the Salon Manager or Desk Manager. It is a nonexempt position.

Our salon is seeking talented estheticians who strive to be the most technically advanced and educated skin experts. We specialize in skin care services such as facials, hair removal, and body treatments.

We believe education is ongoing. Whether a recent graduate or with 20 years of experience, this role requires active participation in continuing education. We offer opportunities both in-house and through external classes led by highly trained professionals in the salon/spa network.

Our salons are located in high-traffic, premier mall locations throughout the Southeast. We are looking for top skin specialists to join our rapidly growing team.

Position Description

The Esthetician reports to the Salon Manager and is responsible for providing professional skin care services to clients.

Client Services

• Meet or exceed personal service and retail sales goals.
• Acknowledge clients promptly upon check-in.
• Build a client base by recruiting new request clients and maintaining customer client cards.
• Provide quality services using technical skills and recommend appropriate retail products.
• Respond professionally to customer service issues and address complaints promptly.
• Exhibit good communication skills.
• Engage in ongoing education about products, services, and industry trends.

Salon / Personal Presentation

• Ensure personal work area and salon meet and exceed State Board regulations.
• Perform basic salon housekeeping duties such as cleaning, stocking, and managing client records.
• Organize time and resources effectively to meet sales goals.
• Communicate issues and needs with Salon Management.
• Adhere to salon guidelines for attendance and punctuality.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the dress code.

Education & Experience

• Must possess a valid, current board-certified license.
• Two to five years of experience in cosmetology or the cosmetic industry is preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to use a computer keyboard, telephone, and related equipment.
• Ability to work with chemicals and chemical compounds.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
