Boulay in the United States is seeking an Estate & Trust Supervisor to join a mid-senior CPA career path focused on high-net-worth private client tax work. The role offers a competitive compensation range ($87,000–$130,000) with incentives and profit sharing and a flexible hybrid/remote work environment.
Key responsibilities include preparing complex estate, gift, trust, and fiduciary tax returns, managing fiduciary accounting engagements, and guiding client relationships while coordinating
This Estate & Trust Supervisor role at Boulay sits at the mid-senior level of a public accounting career path — typically one step below Manager — and is a strong opportunity for CPAs specializing in high-net-worth private client tax work.
Compensation: The $87K–$130K range is competitive for this specialization in a regional CPA firm setting, though Big 4 and large national firms may pay 10–20% more for equivalent experience. The addition of incentives and profit sharing is a meaningful differentiator at a regional firm.
Skills You'll Build:
Career Trajectory: This role is a natural stepping stone to Tax Manager, then Senior Manager/Director in estate planning practice. The specialization is defensible against automation due to its complexity, judgment-intensive nature, and relationship-driven work.
Green Flags: Flexible schedule, hybrid/remote option, tuition reimbursement, and parental leave signal a modern, employee-friendly culture for a regional firm. The emphasis on entrepreneurial mindset suggests room for initiative and advancement.
Consideration: No CPA requirement is explicitly stated in the posting — confirm whether licensure expectations exist before applying if you are not yet licensed.
