Boulay is seeking an Estate and Trust Supervisor to join our Minnesota team. This role focuses on preparing and reviewing complex estate, gift, trust, and fiduciary tax returns, and performing fiduciary accounting and trust administration engagements.

You will research and resolve advanced tax matters, serve as the main client contact, and collaborate across departments to deliver comprehensive solutions. A strong background in estate/tax planning is essential.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4+ years of tax experience, preferably estate, gift, trust, and fiduciary taxation.
• Experience preparing and reviewing gift, estate, trust, and fiduciary income tax returns.
• Strong understanding of tax law, the Internal Revenue Code, and related tax concepts.
• Proficiency with tax, accounting, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to analyze complex client information and develop practical tax solutions.
• Ability to delegate, supervise, and review work of junior staff.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and discretion.

We are currently looking for an Estate and Trust Supervisor to join our team!

Our Estate & Trust professionals work closely with individuals, families, fiduciaries, and beneficiaries in the administration of estates and trusts, including the analysis of related documents, preparation and review of tax returns, and fiduciary accounting. The team also consults with clients on strategies to minimize estate and gift taxes while helping them achieve their broader estate planning, charitable, and financial goals.

The Estate & Trust Supervisor is responsible for assisting clients with their estate, gift, trust, and related tax needs by performing a variety of advanced tax and accounting engagements. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex and meaningful client matters while managing multiple projects and client relationships simultaneously.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4+ years of tax experience, preferably focused on estate, gift, trust, and fiduciary taxation.
• Experience preparing and reviewing gift, estate, trust, and fiduciary income tax returns.
• Strong understanding of tax law, the Internal Revenue Code, and related tax compliance and planning concepts.
• Proficiency with tax, accounting, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Proven ability to analyze complex client information, solve problems creatively, and develop practical tax solutions.
• Ability to delegate, supervise, and review the work of less experienced team members.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, adaptability, and the ability to learn new processes and concepts quickly.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, exercise sound judgment, and handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.

The annual salary range for this position is: $87,000 - $130,000. This salary range reflects the anticipated responsibilities and qualifications of a successful candidate for this role. Final compensation may vary depending upon an individual’s experience, knowledge, and skills. Individuals may be eligible for additional compensation in the form of incentives, commissions, profit sharing, and more, depending on the role.
