Job summary

BCG Attorney Search in South Haven, MI, seeks an Estate and Succession Planning Associate to advise clients and draft documents related to estate planning, estate and gift tax, and business succession planning while supporting partner-level attorneys.

You will meet with clients to understand wishes, prepare Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, and Health Care Directives; advise on tax matters for high-net-worth individuals; and participate in probate administration and related filings.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of estate planning, estate and gift tax, and business succession planning.
• Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
• Ability to summarize complex problems and propose solutions.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience managing client relationships and contributing to business development efforts.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to understand wishes and draft documents such as Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, and Health Care Directives.
• Advise on estate, gift, GST tax, and income tax matters for mid to high-net-worth individuals and families.
• Engage in estate administration, including probate filings and attending probate hearings.
