Job summary

RLGC Law Group, PLLC is seeking a detail-oriented Estate Planning Paralegal for their Latham, NY team. You will draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives, and work with attorneys on trust administration and probate matters.

You will gather information from clients, maintain files, perform legal research, and coordinate filings, all while delivering a smooth client experience in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of estate planning documents, terminology, and legal procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a client-focused demeanor.
• Proficiency in legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft and prepare estate planning documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
• Assist attorneys with trust administration, probate filings, and estate settlement matters.
• Communicate directly with clients to gather information, provide updates, and ensure a smooth client experience.
• Organize and maintain client files, legal documents, and case management systems.
• Conduct legal research related to estate planning, tax law, and probate procedures.
• Coordinate document execution, notarization, and proper filing with courts or government agencies.
• Support attorneys in preparing for client meetings and consultations.
