Job description

About Our Firm

Our firm focuses on estate planning and probate administration, helping individuals and families navigate important legal matters with clarity, care, and confidence. Our approach is grounded in integrity, honesty, and stewardship, both in how we serve our clients and how we work with one another.

We are a team-oriented firm that values collaboration over hierarchy. Every team member is expected to contribute, communicate openly, and support the shared success of the firm and its clients.

Our work environment is highly structured, efficient, and data-informed. We use clear processes and practical performance measures to manage our time effectively, deliver work to clients when promised, and minimize unnecessary administrative burdens. Efficiency is not about asking people to do more with less. It is about creating systems that allow high-quality work to be completed without needless hours or recurring fire drills.

We also believe that work should fit into a meaningful life rather than consume it. Our goal is to create a sustainable workplace where team members can be fully engaged while they are working and leave their work at the office when the day is complete. The right candidate will value clear expectations, shared accountability, thoughtful collaboration, and a professional environment built for long-term success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estate Planning: Conduct client consultations and prepare comprehensive estate plans, including trusts and incapacity-planning documents, using the firm’s established processes and quality standards.
  • Trust Administration: Guide trust administrations from initial review through completion, working closely with clients and support staff to keep matters organized, accurate, and progressing on schedule.
  • Probate Administration: Oversee formal and summary probate administrations from intake through completion. Review and manage pleadings prepared by support staff, provide clear legal direction, and help ensure accurate and timely court filings.
  • Client Stewardship: Lead client consultations and document signings with clarity, patience, and sound judgment. Guide clients through the legal process, answer their questions, and help them identify solutions that reflect their circumstances and goals.
  • Collaboration with Support Staff: Serve as a collaborative legal resource for the firm’s support team in matters involving estate planning, trust administration, and probate administration. Provide clear guidance, constructive feedback, and practical support to a capable team of fast learners who are eager to deepen their understanding of the firm’s core legal services.
Required:
  • Licensure: Juris Doctor (JD) and an active member in good standing with The Florida Bar.
  • Experience: 3+ years of practice in Probate and Estate Planning
  • Presence: A commitment to a part-time (3 Days-A-Week), in-office work schedule in Oldsmar.
  • Technical Writing: Superior drafting skills with a passion for detail and accuracy.
Preferred:
  • Experience with drafting software (e.g., wealthcounsel)
  • Experience with firm management software (e.g., smokeball)
