Job summary

Oath is seeking an Associate Attorney in Detroit, MI for an in-person, client-facing role focused on estate and financial planning. You will advise clients on life decisions, help protect assets, and plan for the future while working with mentors to develop your skills.

You'll lead workshops, meet with clients, and design personalized estate plans. Prior experience is not required in estate planning—we’ll teach you and support your professional growth within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• J.D. and active law license required.
• Client-facing experience and strong communication skills.
• Willingness to work early evenings as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead workshops and speaking events to educate potential clients on estate and financial planning options.
• Meet with clients in consultations, gather information, and help clients take action.
• Design and review personalized estate plans to align with client goals.
• Guide clients through document signing appointments, ensuring understanding of plans.
• Collaborate with attorneys, advisors, and staff to deliver seamless client service.
• Maintain detailed electronic records of client meetings and communications.
• Meet weekly with a mentor attorney for guidance and development.
• Engage clients in integrated estate and financial planning discussions.
• Respond promptly to client needs via email and phone.
