Job summary

Mercer Advisors in Atlanta is seeking an Estate Planning Attorney to join our Wealth Solutions group. The role supports ultra-high net worth clients by reviewing, funding and maintaining estate plans in collaboration with wealth advisors nationwide.

A JD with licensure in at least one state is required, along with 4–8 years of estate planning experience. Travel up to 25% and in-office presence 1–2 days per month are preferred to foster collaboration and client service excellence.

Qualifications

• JD and state license to practice law required.
• 4–8 years of estate planning experience preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Meet with wealth advisors and Wealth Solutions group to review, fund, and maintain estate plans.
• Learn advanced planning strategies.
• Build book of ultra-high-net-worth clients.
• Review and summarize existing estate planning documents and advise on changes based on laws and family circumstances.
• Answer general informational estate planning questions from clients and advisor teams.
• Serve as an in-house resource in estate planning to wealth management teams nationwide.
• Stay current with estate, trust, and tax legislation nationwide.
• Support business development through presentations, thought leadership publications, and client meetings.
• Mentor and coach Estate Planning Strategists.
• Manage a service specialist and oversee day-to-day tasks, training, and schedules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
