Job summary

An established Chicago law firm is seeking an experienced Estate Planning Attorney to guide individuals, families, and business owners on sophisticated estate planning, trust administration, and wealth-transfer matters.

You will develop comprehensive plans, draft wills and trusts, and provide strategic advice on asset protection and tax planning, while building long-term client relationships and serving high-net-worth clients.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Experience with trust and estate administration.
• Strong legal research, writing, drafting, and analytical skills.
• Excellent client communication and relationship-management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively.
• Experience with asset protection, business planning, business succession, or tax planning is a plus.

I’m currently recruiting for an established Chicago law firm seeking an experienced Estate Planning Attorney to join its growing practice. This attorney will advise individuals, families, and business owners on sophisticated estate planning, trust and estate administration, asset protection, and business planning matters. The role offers the opportunity to work on complex wealth-transfer and succession planning matters while building meaningful, long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive estate plans for individuals and families
• Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate-planning documents
• Advise clients on wealth transfer, asset protection, and tax-planning strategies
• Handle trust and estate administration matters
• Assist with business succession and business-planning matters

Billable:

1,850 billable hours annually

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $140,000 – $200,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
