Distinct in Austin, TX is seeking an Estate Planning Attorney to lead client relationships in a hybrid work environment. You will handle wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and planning for liquidity events.
You’ll work with CPAs and financial advisers, manage estate and trust administration, probate and guardianship in Texas, and guide matters from first meeting to signing. Texas Bar admission and 3–10 years’ trusts and estates experience are required.
A lot of new wealth in Austin has no plan behind it yet. Founders who have just sold, families who have moved in from out of state, business owners starting to think about succession. This firm is where many of them go for advice, and it needs another attorney to lead those relationships.
The practice covers planning, administration and probate for a client base that ranges from young families to owners of substantial businesses. The work is detailed and it is personal, which is exactly why good attorneys stay in it.
Clients meet you as their attorney. When advisers and families refer new work, it comes to you, and the firm credits the business you develop.
The firm is hiring at two levels. Attorneys with a few years of experience run planning matters from first meeting to signing. More experienced attorneys lead complex estates and high net worth planning, and are paid toward the top of the range.
Hybrid, and you choose the days. Trusts and estates rarely runs on midnight deadlines, and the firm intends to keep it that way.
If you'd rather be someone's trusted adviser than the drafter in the background, this practice gets you there quickly.
