Job summary

The Advocates in Denver is seeking an Estate Planning Associate with at least 3 years of experience to join its tight-knit, women-owned team. You will work directly with individuals, families, and estates to develop thoughtful estate plans and draft sophisticated planning documents tailored to each client’s needs.

The practice serves estates up to about $50 million and handles probate matters. The firm offers a 1,200-hour billable requirement, strong collaboration, and a clear path toward

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of estate planning experience.
• Strong legal writing, drafting, and analytical skills.
• Experience working directly with clients and managing matters independently.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Intellectual curiosity and strategic thinking for complex client needs.
• Collaborative yet autonomous in a small team environment.

Responsibilities

• Meet directly with clients to understand their estate planning goals and circumstances.
• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive estate plans tailored to individuals and families.
• Draft and review estate planning documents and trust structures.
• Advise clients on estate planning strategies and oversee gifting transactions.
• Handle select probate and estate administration matters.
• Manage client relationships and independent matters with strong communication and attention to detail.
• Think strategically to develop effective planning approaches for client needs.
