Offit Kurman is seeking an estates litigation attorney with a minimum of three years of experience to join its growing trusts and estates litigation practice in New York. In addition to litigation experience, the candidate should have a strong foundation in one or more of the following areas: trusts and estates, fiduciary litigation, guardianships, Surrogate's Court procedure, and/or elder law.
The attorney will handle a diverse portfolio of complex disputes in Surrogate's Court, Supreme Court, and federal court. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team with a steady flow of sophisticated and challenging matters.
Responsibilities will include drafting motions and other pleadings, conducting depositions, appearing in court, managing discovery, and advising clients through sensitive and often high-stakes disputes. Strong legal writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage cases independently are essential.
