Job summary

Orionplacement is seeking an attorney to handle estate and probate litigation in Freehold, NJ. The role requires NJ bar admission and 1+ year of relevant experience, with opportunities to handle sophisticated matters and build a client base.

You will work closely with experienced colleagues in a collaborative office, with a strong mentoring culture and a path toward senior responsibilities. On-site work is expected with limited weekend remote flexibility for emergencies or exceptions.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Bar license required.
• 1+ year of estate litigation experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable appearing in court and speaking with clients.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in estate and probate litigation from inception to resolution.
• Research complex issues and prepare memoranda, motions, and briefs.
• Draft pleadings, discovery requests/responses, and correspondence.
• Conduct depositions, attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances.
• Manage client communications and provide strategic guidance.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
• Participate in networking and business development to grow the practice.
• Maintain current knowledge of estate litigation law and best practices.

Pay: $125,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year

Location: Freehold, New Jersey – On-site. Join our team in a collaborative office environment where attorneys work closely together every day. Limited remote flexibility is available only for weekends or emergency situations.

Note: Applicants must be licensed to practice law in the State of New Jersey and have 1+ year of estate litigation experience. Candidates with more senior experience, as well as those from in-house or solo practice backgrounds, are encouraged to apply if they have relevant estate litigation experience and are within commuting distance of Freehold.
