Job summary

Confidential Employer in Freehold, NJ is seeking an experienced estate and probate litigator to represent clients from inception through resolution in a collaborative office environment. This on-site role offers meaningful courtroom experience and opportunities to build a practice with firm support.

Applicants must be licensed to practice law in New Jersey and have 1+ year of estate litigation experience. Senior candidates are encouraged if within commuting distance of Freehold.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Bar license is required.
• 1+ year of estate litigation experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Comfortable appearing in court and interacting directly with clients.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively while independently managing a caseload.
• Business development interest is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in estate and probate litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Research complex legal issues and prepare memoranda, motions, and legal briefs.
• Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and legal correspondence.
• Conduct depositions, attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances.
• Manage client communications and provide strategic legal guidance throughout the litigation process.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to achieve successful client outcomes.
• Participate in networking and business development efforts to help grow the practice.
• Maintain current knowledge of estate litigation law and best practices.

Pay: $125,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year

Location: Freehold, New Jersey – On-site. Join our team in a collaborative office environment where attorneys work closely together every day. Limited remote flexibility is available only for weekends or emergency situations.

Note: Applicants must be licensed to practice law in the State of New Jersey and have 1+ year of estate litigation experience.
