Job description

O’Shaughnessy Estate Winery on Howell Mountain is seeking an energetic professional to fill a position with our small hospitality and direct sales team.

This full-time position and is responsible for welcoming visitors to our winery via email, telephone and in person.

The successful candidate will have the ability to work well with others at all levels of the company and with our guests.

Candidates must demonstrate excellent verbal and written ability, be able to accurately gather and log information from guests and provide guided tours of the winery and small group tastings.

This position will also provide support for special projects as required. Professional and personable demeanor and a genuine desire to provide exceptional customer experience in every interaction is a must.

The person we are looking for will be passionate about wine, interacting with new people, sales, marketing and hospitality. This person must be able to learn about and speak in depth about wine characteristics, winemaking, grape growing practices, Napa Valley and winery history.

Key responsibilities:

• Handling telephone and email inquiries and requests.
• Responsible for scheduling and hosting tour and tastings.
• Inventory storage and tracking of tasting room wine.
• Daily data entry, data management and conformation of all direct-to-consumer sales.
• Assist in managing the appearance of the entire facility.

• Highly motivated, organized and detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Possess a genuine passion for wine and the ability to answer wine related questions.
• Task oriented with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to problem solve.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Positive team player able to understand different perspectives and priorities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and Wine Direct point of sale.
• Professional appearance.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
