Job summary

Fair Lane Estate in Dearborn, MI seeks a dedicated Facilities Custodian to maintain interior and exterior cleanliness and support events at the historic estate. The role covers custodial duties, event setup/teardown, and collaboration with staff year-round to preserve the estate's integrity and daily operations.

The position is full-time, in-person with a 40-hour workweek, and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years custodial-related work experience.
• Comfortable with ladders, lifts, and working outdoors/various weather conditions.
• Ability to multitask and maintain attention to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial tasks: cleaning restrooms, vacuuming, mopping, trash/recycling removal, dusting, restocking, window cleaning, deep cleaning and disinfecting.
• Launder soiled clothing/materials using estate equipment or approved vendors.
• Support event setup, teardown, and cleanup (tables, chairs, supplies, catering/vendors).
• Assist in maintenance tasks and monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and consumables.
