Job summary

Caring Transitions in Augusta, GA is seeking an Estate & Downsizing Specialist to help families relocate and organize belongings for online auctions. The role emphasizes meaningful, flexible work with no retail and the chance to explore antiques, art, and treasures while supporting seniors through life's transitions.

Starting pay is $14/hour with hours typically 15–30+ per week, Monday–Friday and occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

  • Must live in or near the Augusta area (Aiken, North Augusta, Evans).
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Help families sort and organize household belongings.
  • Identify items to sell, donate, relocate, or dispose of.
  • Photograph auction items for CTBIDS.com.
  • Prepare homes for online estate auctions.
  • Assist with auction pickup days.
  • Help seniors pack, unpack, and settle into new homes.
  • Work across Augusta, Evans, Grovetown, North Augusta, Aiken with a friendly team.

What You’ll Do

No two projects are alike, which means you’ll never be stuck doing the same thing every day.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Helping families sort and organize household belongings
  • Identifying items to sell, donate, relocate, or dispose of
  • Discovering antiques, artwork, jewelry, collectibles, coins, furniture, tools, and unique household treasures
  • Researching brand names, history, and values
  • Staging items to maximize their appeal
  • Photographing auction items for CTBIDS.com
  • Writing engaging online auction descriptions
  • Preparing homes for online estate auctions
  • Assisting with auction pickup days
  • Helping seniors pack, unpack, organize, and settle into their new homes
  • Working in homes throughout Augusta, Evans, Grovetown, North Augusta, Aiken, and surrounding areas with an energetic and supportive team

Position Details

Hours: 15–30+ hours per week, with additional hours available during busy seasons

Schedule: Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays

No Sundays

Starting Pay: Starting at $14/hour, based on experience
