Qualifications

• Experience as scrub technician in OR and endoscopy.
• Knowledge of infection prevention standards.
• Familiarity with Joint Commission (TJC) or CMS standards in perioperative settings.
• Ability to communicate in Navajo or familiarity with Navajo community health contexts.

Responsibilities

• Perform scrub duties for a full range of surgical cases including general, OB/GYN, dental, podiatry, and endoscopy.
• Set up and maintain sterile fields with instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Pass instruments and supplies to surgeon and team with precision.
• Conduct surgical counts and participate in pre-procedure time-outs.
• Uphold infection prevention and sterile techniques throughout cases.
• Assist with specimen handling and labeling.
• Support room turnover and endoscopy suite readiness for up to 15 cases per day.
