Job summary

Salem-Keizer Public Schools is seeking an Instructional Assistant to support a licensed teacher and deliver instructional activities aligned with the approved lesson plan. This role contributes to a safe, healthy learning environment and performs general clerical duties.

Position is temporary with benefits, four hours per day across 188 days per year, with an hourly rate of $20.72–$26.56.

• Must meet ESSA requirements for reading, writing, and math (title I funded schools).
• Paraprofessionals working in Title I funded schools must demonstrate proficiency as per ESSA.

Instructional Assistant - ESSA

Purpose

To improve student achievement by assisting a licensed teacher in the planning and implementation of an educational program for students to perform instructional activities in support of the prescribed lesson plan; assisting in providing a safe, healthy environment for students; and performing a variety of general clerical duties.
