Instructional Assistant - ESSA
To improve student achievement by assisting a licensed teacher in the planning and implementation of an educational program. Responsibilities include supporting instructional activities aligned with lesson plans, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for students, and performing various clerical duties.
The federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) supports equal opportunity for disadvantaged students and aims to eliminate barriers to success. ESSA requires paraprofessionals in Title I funded schools to demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, and math.
