Job summary

Tech7 is seeking an ESS Test and Evaluation Engineer to join our El Segundo, CA team. You will support Systems Engineering & Integration activities in a multidisciplinary environment and collaborate with SE&I members, contractors, government civilians, and US Space Force.

The role develops T&E strategy, TEMP, SITP and SEP, analyzes data, and presents findings to customers. On-site work at a secure facility is required; DoD clearance is necessary with preferred MILSATCOM experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as engineering, mathematics, physics, or computer science. An MS or equivalent may be accepted with experience.
• 8+ years demonstrated experience in systems engineering
• 8+ years with system test, verification, or analysis
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• On-site work in a secure facility due to security requirements
• Experience with MILSATCOM or related programs is preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop T&E strategy, TEMP, requirement verification and test plans, test objectives and evaluation criteria
• Support SITP and SEP development and updates
• Collect, review, analyze, and report T&E data; document assessments and recommendations
• Support T&E database implementation and integration with Digital Engineering tools
• Participate in IPTs, DRBs, TIMs; coordinate reviews and actions
• Review deliverables and refine test and integration implementation with teams
• Prepare and present packages communicating recommendations and strategies to customers
• Develop risks and mitigation plans for systems engineering, test and integration; use Jira/Confluence tools

Tech7 is seeking an ESS Test and Evaluation Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, CA.

You will support Systems Engineering & Integration activities in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment. The Systems Engineer will interface and collaborate with SE&I team members, contractors, government civilians and members of the US Space Force. The Systems Engineer will lead and support several working groups responsible for leading technical discussion, resolve and identify risk, requirement gaps, developing briefings, writing, and tracking action items, and authoring meeting minutes.

The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the Air Force’s Space and Missiles System Center. We support the Air Force’s acquisition of state-of-the-art Military Satellite Communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation’s warfighters. We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a highly collaborative work environment of small teams, using the most modern tools and methodologies to tackle the challenges of integrating complex space and ground communications systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop T&E strategy, Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), requirement verification and test plans, test objectives, test methodology, and evaluation criteria
• Provide support to develop/update the Systems Integration and Test Plan (SITP) and the Systems Engineering Plan (SEP)
• Collect, review, analyze, and report T&E data; document assessments and recommendations
• Support implementation of common Test and Evaluation database for the program; integrate Digital Engineering and Environment processes
• Support T&E reviews, audits, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Deficiency Review Boards (DRBs), Materiel Improvement Process Review Boards (MIPRBs), and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs)
• Review and assess Test and Integration-related deliverables; work closely with multiple Integrated Product Teams to refine test and integration implementation of strategies
• Develop and present packages to communicate recommendations, assessment, and strategies to customers at different levels; conduct IPT meetings/reviews and collaborate with integration and test teams
• Develop and document risks and mitigation plans for systems engineering, test, and integration; use Digital Engineering and Environment tools (i.e. Jira, Confluence, etc.) for different efforts

Requirements:

• Able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in technical field, such as engineering, mathematics, physics, or computer science. An equivalent technical degree (such as MS in technical field, such as engineering, mathematics, physics, or computer science) or non-technical degree plus 2+ years of relevant technical experience may be accepted, contingent on Government approval.

• Strong interpersonal skills, communication (oral and written), and presentation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Due to security requirements, work is required to be on-site in a secure facility

Preferred:

• Secret or higher clearance
• MS in technical field, such as engineering, mathematics, physics, or computer science
• Experience with MILSATCOM, such as AEHF, EPS, WGS, and FAB-T terminal programs
• Experience working with military or DoD civilian clients
• Experience with ground and airborne systems, such as terminals and networks
• Certifications in Systems Engineering (INCOSE ESEP, CSEP)
• Certifications in MBSE (OCSMP)
• Certifications in Agile Development
• Knowledge and experience in Jira and Confluence
