Job summary

Sungrow is seeking an Engineer - ESS Technical Solutions to deliver technical proposals, preliminary designs, and value engineering for ESS projects. You will support pre-sale to execution phases, including testing, commissioning, and regulatory compliance, traveling up to 50%.

Strong communication with US teams and HQ is required to develop new ESS projects and address customer needs. The role requires deep knowledge in battery systems, power electronics, and ESS product requirements across

Qualifications

Minimum three (3) years’ experience in the renewable industry.
Minimum three (3) years’ direct technical experience in Product/System Engineering or similar roles.
Experience with Power Electronics/Battery systems is desirable.
Understanding of UL9540A, NFPA, NEC codes and Electrical Safety Regulations.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Analyze ESS project RFPs, intake forms, specifications, and customer requirements to determine technical delivery needs.
Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to generate technical proposals and solutions.
Support project execution phase including BOS design, 3rd party studies, and EPC system level design.
Serve as technical liaison for Sales, customers, and internal teams; address technical inquiries and guidance on system design and testing.
Travel with sales to provide technical support and demonstrate product advantages.
