Job summary

BYD America Corporation seeks a Project Manager to support the ESS team’s rapid growth in North America. You will oversee ESS project execution from production to maintenance, coordinating design, compliance, and after-sales support while collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and logistics to meet schedules and budgets.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and experience in renewable energy projects, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Experience in project coordination or management, preferably in solar energy or renewable industry.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency with project scheduling and management tools.
• Familiarity with clean energy industry trends and solar PV/energy storage systems.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and work cross-functionally.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Manage the execution of ESS projects including production, delivery, commissioning and maintenance.
• Coordinate activities for on-time delivery within budget, including technical design, specification compliance and after-sales support.
• Serve as primary contact for customers during project execution.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and logistics to facilitate project execution.
• Maintain alignment with company objectives by collaborating with Engineering, Procurement and Business Development.
• Update and maintain project schedules to track progress.
• Conduct site visits and communicate technical challenges to stakeholders.
• Review reports to measure productivity and identify cost reductions.
• Generate reports highlighting project status and issues for management.
• Engage with stakeholders to align scopes and timelines with goals.
• Track and manage project payments and ensure timely collection.
• Support contract negotiations and due diligence to close deals.
• Monitor industry trends and present analyses to keep stakeholders informed.
• Analyze renewable energy standards and align technology strategies.
• Facilitate lessons learned meetings after project completion.
