Job summary

Generant Company Inc in Butler, New Jersey is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to help assure the quality of manufactured metal parts across production stages. You will inspect, measure, and document results, interpret drawings, and maintain calibration of metrology tools while supporting root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

Shifts run Monday through Friday with a first, second, or third shift option; second and third shift include a differential.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Strong metrology tool knowledge including micrometers, calipers and optical comparators.
• Experience with SPC techniques and quality standards.
• Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct first article and in-process inspections to meet quality specs.
• Maintain calibration of metrology tools and instruments.
• Perform in-process, final, material, and supplier inspections as needed.
• Interpret mechanical drawings and record inspection results.
• Communicate nonconformances to management and drive corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production to resolve quality issues and implement preventive measures.
• Maintain quality records and assist in developing QC procedures.
